New Updates From the Office of Governor Ducey
Commercial trucks with gross weights of up to 90,000 pounds will be allowed to operate without overweight permits. This aligns with federal guidance and will help ensure Arizona’s groceries, pharmacies and medical providers remain fully supplied.
We have issued an executive order related to Residential and Nursing Health Facilities, which requires all staff to use appropriate PPE, implement symptom checks on those entering the facility and offering electronic communication if visitation is restricted and more.
We issued an executive order that builds upon our previous Enhanced Surveillance Advisory EO, and will expand healthcare reporting requirements on hospitals.
We issued an executive order which increases quarantine guidelines for out-of-state travelers entering Arizona. The language used is “areas of substantial community spread,” which, right now, includes NY, CT, NJ. This will be updated based on CDC guidance.
We issued an executive order allowing restaurants to repackage and sell grocery items that they have on hand, including things not normally packaged or labeled for resale.
